DUCK HARRY
Introducing HARRY, a brand new rubber duck (silicone actually), designed for Kontextur and will be available for Christmas. It is the quintessential Bathroom Accessory.
From performing as a door stop to a decoy (Harry is solid) to holding toothpaste and brushes when on it’s side… Harry does pretty much anything but float.

How it all connects
Sometimes one thing leads to another in an accidental fashion. Sheep becomes a stool and a part of the stool becomes a toothbrush holder. And toothbrush holders become something entirely different.

JEWELRY THAT CONNECTS
Here are some photographs of a project that is/was an experiment with rings set with diamonds. The pieces work on a grid like principle; geometric primary forms. More after the break.
MTA PROPOSAL (SUBWAY DECORATION)
A subway journey is a linear narrative where your beginning is someones end and so on. A person in a hurry can become a person suspended in thought in a metter of seconds… This concept of decorative wall art is meant to allow fellow travelers on oposite platforms to observe these unfolding stories in front of them.
Waiting.
Contemplating.

Been working on rubber band vehicles and other toys lately for a great toy company. Here are a couple of unlucky rubber band vehicle concepts that will probably never see the toy store.

Man vs. Swan
We, humans, are attracted to the artificial reality we create. This point being well illustrated by the simple fact that we flock from the natural countryside to the man made mega cities; cities where few traces of natural life are found. We wipe out the natural and replace it with the artificial. For instance, the connection between steak and slaughter was lost in our cognitive consciousness a...

TEQUILA
We worked with Landor NYC to create a new range of bottles for Don Julio tequila. The range has a nice progression from basic to complex / affordable to luxury / round to sharp / soft to masculine… you get the idea. The transition is very apparent when you see the structures naked.

VERSATILE BASKET FOR BICYCLES
We’ve been thinking about bikes quite a bit lately and developed a range of bicycle related products that I think have some potential, (if anyone is interested.) Here is a concept for a bike basket with telescoping handle and wheels. This configuration would be super convenient for people that use a bike as their main transportation. The actual aesthetic needs some thinking, but the concept...

DESIGN OBSESSED
“Who would think “teeth” or shaving when shopping for inspired gifts? Luckily for the design-obsessed, Icelander Hlynur Atlason did and sculpted the Viktor toothbrush and razor holders to jazz up our most humdrum morning rituals.” Indeed.
THE BIRTH OF CLYDE
Clyde is a soap dish / brush designed for a variety of grooming actions. Inspired by the natural tendency to locate a bar of soap on top of a brush, back when people had dirty jobs and dirty fingers. Produced and promoted by Kontextur.

OVER THE TOP ACCORDING TO LONNY
After you launch a product into the world that doesn’t fit squarely into a preexisting category, people will interpret it and group it in different ways. I tink this is interesting.

10 BOTTLES
This is a photograph of a wine rack that I designed a decade ago. The front and back are made with the same part, which is turned upside down. The two sides are open in the middle via, razor blade-like lazer cut. The piece was carried for a little while by Totem, a design store in NYC. Totem is no longer in business.

HELLO AND WELCOME
The reason for this blog is simple. To allow prospective clients and people enthusiastic about design an insight into our working process, and to see how products get conceived and born at our company. This ‘open studio’ idea will also feature experiments and rejected projects.
The material on this blog is 99% created at the studio but not re-posted from other sites. Thus, I’m...
